Full Job Description
As an Enterprise Sales Engineer in Delhi, India, you will be instrumental in providing deep technical expertise throughout the sales cycle. This involves delivering compelling sales presentations, demonstrating product capabilities, and supporting customers during technical evaluations (Proof of Values). You will play a crucial role in qualifying and closing opportunities with both customers and partners, and your insights will directly influence the product team's roadmap by prioritizing features based on feedback from customers, competitors, and partners.
What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate closely with the Sales team to articulate Datadog's comprehensive value proposition, vision, and strategy to enterprise clients.
- Take ownership of technical engagements with customers during the trial phase, effectively communicating Datadog's value based on their activities and proactively resolving any identified issues or concerns to ensure a successful outcome.
- Technically close complex opportunities by leveraging advanced competitive knowledge, strong technical skills, and building credibility with clients.
- Deliver insightful product and technical briefings and presentations to prospective clients.
- Maintain accurate and detailed notes within the CRM regarding customer feedback, including both wins and losses.
- Proactively engage and communicate with customers and Datadog's business and technical teams regarding product feedback and the competitive landscape.
Who You Are:
- You are passionate about educating customers on observability risks that directly impact their business and possess the ability to build and execute a tailored evaluation plan.
- You have excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate both the business benefits (value proposition) and the technical advantages of our offerings.
- You are experienced in programming/scripting with languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, Go, Node.JS, PHP, and .NET.
- You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Sales Engineering or DevOps Engineering role.
- You are able to sit for up to 4 hours and travel to and from client sites.
- You are willing to travel up to 45% of the time via auto, train, or air.
