Engr, Product Dev Apps

We are seeking an Engineer, Product Applications to join our Chennai team designing inspection equipment for the global semiconductor industry. Key responsibilities include driving product adoption at customer facilities in fabs, optimizing production processes using KLA expertise, training customers on technical solutions, and resolving critical manufacturing challenges.

• Lead process optimization initiatives within fab environments, leveraging deep knowledge of both KLA technology and advanced semiconductor fabrication flows to solve high-priority production issues.
• Manage the full lifecycle of customer support: conducting final product acceptance tests, delivering comprehensive training sessions for internal engineers and external clients, investigating complex technical problems, analyzing competitive landscapes, and documenting methodologies in applications notes.
• Collaborate with global marketing teams to report technology developments and new application capabilities. Play a pivotal role in both pre-sale demonstrations and post-sale success activities across international markets.
• Execute characterization studies for new systems and features by designing experiments, collecting analytical data, and publishing actionable recommendations that define industry best practices.

Note: This is an internationally mobile role requiring up to 70% travel on short notice. Candidates must be comfortable working within diverse global cultures and adapting quickly to changing technical environments in semiconductor fabs.
