Engineering Specialist

Caterpillar Inc., a global leader in innovation and sustainable practices, is seeking an Engineering Specialist to join their Medium Tractor Products team in Peoria, Illinois. This role is crucial for providing technical leadership in tractor performance and leveraging data analytics for critical performance decisions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for staying ahead of emerging performance technologies, defining system architectures, conducting detailed tractor-level performance and cooling analyses, and developing comprehensive product analysis and test plans. You will also have the opportunity to visit customer sites, support factory operations including hot-test performance, and resolve performance-related issues in both factory and field environments. By utilizing field and customer data analytics, you will drive informed performance decisions and manage tradeoffs, contributing directly to the advancement of our cutting-edge machinery.
