Full Job Description
Join SimCorp, a FinTech innovator, as an Engineering Manager (SRE) within our SaaS division in Hyderabad / Secunderabad, Telangana, India. You will lead one or more Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams responsible for the high availability, performance, and operational excellence of our Azure-hosted SaaS platforms. This role is crucial for ensuring seamless client onboarding and smooth operation of client environments.
As a people manager, you will focus on creating a thriving environment for your engineers, guiding them through hiring, coaching, technical guidance, and career growth. You will collaborate with product and engineering leadership to build scalable, secure, and observable systems aligned with SRE and ITIL principles. Your responsibilities include:
- Leading SRE teams focused on Azure-based infrastructure and client platform operations.
- Partnering with Product Owners and stakeholders to align SRE capabilities with product outcomes.
- Managing team members, including hiring, performance development, 1:1s, and career progression.
- Guiding teams through sprint delivery cycles and long-term infrastructure evolution.
- Fostering a healthy, inclusive, and productive engineering culture.
- Supporting teams in resolving technical challenges, system design, and automation initiatives.
- Promoting security best practices, reliability goals (SLOs/SLIs), and cross-team consistency.
- Collaborating with other engineering managers and tech leads to define and deliver shared platform capabilities.
- Championing operational excellence through SRE metrics and KPIs.
- Serving as a servant leader, enabling team success and coaching for growth.
We value leaders who are engineers at heart, focused on enabling operational excellence, with 2-4 years of leadership experience and a proven ability to build followership. Fluency in core SRE practices (monitoring, automation, CI/CD, incident response, IaC) and experience with Microsoft Azure are essential. Familiarity with ITIL processes, particularly incident and problem management, is also expected.
