Engineering Manager II

We invite visionary Engineering Managers to lead our WhatsApp team at HighLevel—a critical growth engine for our global customer base. This role involves architecting solutions that handle complex WABA management, high-throughput message delivery, and sophisticated usage metering across a massive-scale ecosystem.

• Design scalable architecture for core Phone platform components supporting billions of monthly events using technologies like NestJS, MongoDB, Redis, and service mesh-based microservices.
• Own the end-to-end billing lifecycle including usage metering, reconciliation, and audit trails with zero tolerance for errors.
• Develop compliance-driven platforms adaptable to regulatory changes without invasive engineering work.
• Leverage AI tools like LLMs to enhance code quality while maintaining strict guardrails against hallucination.

• 9+ years in backend engineering with 2+ years leading teams at scale.
• Expertise in distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and fault-tolerant design.
• Proven experience in transactional domains like billing or payments ensuring data integrity.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus/Grafana for observability.
