Engineering Manager

About the Role

Lead a high-impact Cloud Infrastructure Automation and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team within cloud engineering. You will build and operate secure, reliable, scalable, resilient, and self-serve infrastructure platforms for Tekion's global operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Lead and grow a talented team of cloud infrastructure engineers and SREs through technical guidance, mentorship, and career development opportunities in Bangalore or remote locations suitable to the role.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Drive adoption of frameworks like Terraform, Pulumi, and CRDs to enable consistent, auditable, and scalable platform management across all cloud layers.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee reliability and performance for critical infrastructure services ensuring high availability, rapid incident mitigation, and thorough root cause analysis aligned with global SRE standards.
• Platform Enablement: Architect and optimize multi-cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure), Kubernetes clusters, and CI/CD pipelines to support scalable product needs.
• Security & Compliance: Partner with security teams to enforce best practices across infrastructure and applications, ensuring compliance with international standards like SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, application, and product teams to balance operational reliability with evolving business requirements.
• Incident Management: Establish SRE processes including monitoring, alerting, on-call rotation, incident response, and postmortems utilizing a security-first approach.
• Automation & Tooling: Identify automation opportunities across infrastructure workflows to enable developer self-service while maintaining robust guardrails.
• Metrics Reporting: Track SLAs, SLOs, and security posture metrics for executive leadership reporting in the local timezone or globally as required.
