Engineering Manager

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead teams building scalable, cloud-native analytics platforms for global retail customers. This role combines strong technical leadership in Python-based systems with people management responsibilities to ensure platform reliability, observability, and performance for mission-critical SaaS products.

• Lead and grow a team of software engineers delivering Python-based analytics and SaaS platforms tailored for the Bangalore market.
• Own delivery of complex, multi-service projects with an emphasis on scalability, reliability, and performance in cloud environments.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership utilizing Python/Java/C++, PostgreSQL, and SQL-heavy systems relevant to Indian tech stacks.
• Drive architectural decisions aligned with our data-intensive and API-driven platforms serving retail clients globally.
• Establish mature observability, monitoring, alerting, and APM practices across services for Bangalore operations.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams on cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred), CI/CD, and release readiness within agile frameworks popular in the region.

Requirements:

• 12-16 years of overall software engineering experience including leading high-performing engineering teams.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Python/Java/C++ and PostgreSQL, essential for Bangalore's growing data ecosystem.
• Excellent SQL skills with a focus on query optimization and handling large datasets typical in retail analytics.
• Proven experience managing and delivering Python-based products or platforms in SaaS environments.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like GCP is highly advantageous for our Bangalore team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to frontend technologies such as ReactJS and modern web architectures.
• Experience in the retail domain, specifically analytics, forecasting, pricing, assortment, or supply chain systems.
• Familiarity with microservices, APIs, and event-driven architectures commonly used in scalable SaaS products.
