Qualifications & Requirements
Experience Level: Executive
Full Job Description
Gameberry Labs is seeking an Engineering Manager to architect and lead the development of a next-generation, AI-native incentive infrastructure platform. This platform will power promotional campaign engines for high-scale consumer programs and loyalty ecosystems for long-term B2B/B2C engagement. It will feature a shared, multi-tenant core infrastructure and an agentic AI layer for generating and governing engagement systems. The role involves leading a team of 20-25 engineers across product, customization, QA, and DevOps, and building systems capable of scaling across India, GCC, and international markets.
Key responsibilities include architecting and building a multi-tenant incentive core, leading the platform rebuild from legacy architecture to a scalable enterprise-grade system, and designing and implementing wallet and ledger engines, rule engines, orchestration systems, and fraud/risk frameworks. The role also encompasses developing reporting and audit systems, an AI-driven orchestration layer, and owning security, scalability, and compliance standards. The candidate will be instrumental in designing and implementing core infrastructure elements such as a multi-tenant architecture, wallet and transaction ledger engine, points accrual/redemption, a highly configurable rule orchestration engine, a rewards integration layer, and a fraud detection/validation engine. Additionally, they will develop a settlement and reconciliation engine with real-time analytics and reporting, and an AI-Orchestration Layer featuring AI-assisted configuration, validation, guardrails, decision automation workflows, and intelligent campaign flows. Enterprise readiness, including SOC 2 readiness, auditability, logging standards, CI/CD, DevSecOps, observability, and scalability for traffic spikes, is also crucial.
Ideal candidates will have experience building or scaling SaaS platforms (multi-tenant, B2B, or B2B2C), Fintech-style transaction systems, or ledger-based systems in Martech, AdTech, Loyalty, Payments, Wallet, or Incentive ecosystems. Experience with high-scale transactional infrastructure (10M+ events/month) and AI-assisted workflow systems (LLM orchestration, RAG, agent systems) is required. A strong understanding of stateful systems, event-driven architectures, high concurrency, traffic spikes, fraud prevention systems, and API-first product architecture with modular microservices is essential. Preferred skill sets include backend development with Node.js/TypeScript, Python, or Go; experience with rule engines; strong database architecture (Postgres, MySQL, Mongo); event streaming (Kafka/RabbitMQ); frontend frameworks; scalable UI frameworks; cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP); containerization (Docker/Kubernetes); CI/CD pipelines; observability tools; integrating LLM APIs; RAG architectures; agent orchestration systems; secure API design; RBAC systems; encryption standards; and compliance frameworks.
Minimum qualifications include 10+ years in backend/platform engineering with 5+ years of leadership experience, architecting at least one platform from scratch, and migrating from legacy to scalable architectures. Experience with production systems having real revenue impact is mandatory. Strong preferences are for candidates with Fintech/Payments/Wallet/Loyalty backgrounds, Martech infrastructure experience, AI-native product exposure, multi-market SaaS experience, and experience building compliance-ready systems.
