Engineering Manager

Requirements:

• Proficiency in backend application development, including distributed systems, microservices, and Kubernetes.
• Demonstrated skill in system design. Experience in code maintenance and review using Java, Go, Python, JavaScript, or Ruby.
• Experience in the gaming industry is a plus.
• Hands-on leadership experience is essential.
• A consistent employment history (2+ years per role) with a strong track record of career progression.
• Ability to work from our Bangalore, India office at least 3 days per week.
• A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Lead high-performing teams of engineers and/or engineering managers.
• Recruit, retain, and foster the professional development of your team members.
• Coach and motivate your team to achieve high productivity, promote teamwork, and help each individual reach their full potential.
• Drive initiatives that encourage innovation and technical excellence.
• Collaborate with other internal teams to prioritize features and functionality based on resource availability and business objectives.
• Communicate potential risks to upper management and develop effective mitigation strategies.
• Build strong relationships and influence stakeholders across various departments.
• Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Partner with product leadership and core engineering teams to develop and monitor detailed schedules, dependencies, and critical paths.
