Responsibilities:

• Technology Strategy and Vision: Define and execute the bank's engineering and technology roadmap in alignment with business goals. Champion innovation to maintain competitive advantage, particularly from hubs like Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai.
• Digital Platform Delivery: Lead end-to-end development of digital banking products including mobile apps for India, ensuring high-quality delivery across all branches.
• Engineering Leadership and Talent Development: Build agile engineering teams within the bank's structure. Attract top talent from Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai regions and foster a culture of innovation.
• Architecture and Modernisation: Own technology stack evolution using cloud-native architectures relevant to India's banking sector.
• Innovation and Transformation: Integrate emerging technologies such as Generative AI and advanced analytics. Lead transformations in Agile, DevOps tailored for the bank's scale.
• Technical Excellence and Quality Assurance: Ensure delivery of robust software solutions adhering to global standards but localized for Indian market needs.
• Risk Management and Compliance: Embed cybersecurity controls ensuring compliance with RBI regulatory standards in India.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner across product, business, operations aligning priorities within the bank's organizational structure.

Requirements:

• 15+ years experience required for this senior engineering leadership role in banking or fintech sectors like India.
• Proven success leading large-scale digital transformation programs within complex financial environments.

Technical Expertise:

• Deep knowledge of digital banking platforms and payment systems prevalent in Indian finance industry.
• Proficiency in GenAI, machine learning, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), APIs essential for modernizing India's financial infrastructure.
