Engineer

Wind River Systems is actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Chennai, India. This role focuses on the development of a cutting-edge cloud-based platform that integrates across all our product offerings. You will be an integral part of a talented development group, contributing to both internal and external tools and technologies within a comprehensive DevSecOps platform, pioneering industry-leading capabilities.

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of new technologies and achieve objectives within a fast-paced agile environment, demonstrating strong technical acumen and excellent communication skills.

As a Software Engineer specializing in Cloud, your responsibilities will include architecting and developing robust production web applications using testable and maintainable code. You will work on next-generation technologies designed to handle information and data at a large scale.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.
• Engage with large-scale microservice architecture backends, utilizing message brokers and data pipelines.
• Contribute to the development of high-value features for both external customers and internal engineering teams within a rapidly growing company that leads the embedded platforms market.
• Collaborate with a diverse set of tools, cloud providers, and products to ensure the delivery of high-quality code.

About You:

• Develop new software features, including APIs and web interfaces.
• Create and maintain essential integrations.
• Ensure the stability of platforms, applications, services, and systems.

Required Qualifications:

• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with NodeJS or alternative back-end technologies such as Java, Python, or Go.
• Solid understanding of SQL and database migration processes.
• Familiarity with Git workflows.
• Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
• 1-3 years of professional software development experience.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Angular or other modern web development frameworks.
• Familiarity with Express, NestJS, and TypeORM.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and caching mechanisms.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, and agile methodologies like Agile and Scrum.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, including Jenkins.
• A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), Computer Science (BSCS), or equivalent practical experience.
