Engineer

Celestica is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our team in Guindy, Chennai, India. This is an individual contributor role focused on networking solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop, debug, test, deploy, and support code for systems and products.
• Write, debug, maintain, and test software across various languages and hierarchy levels (Firmware to Application).
• Follow agreed-upon development processes (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and product life cycle development guidelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, customers, manufacturing engineering, and project leadership, to ensure high-quality product development.
• Enhance designs based on feedback from reviews covering manufacturing, test, supply chain, reliability, industrial design, and simulations.

Technical Requirements:

• Role: Individual Contributor in Networking
• NW Stack: L2, L3 (Routing Protocols - OSPF, BGP etc), MPLS, VXLAN, QOS
• Management: SNMP, Netconf/Yang, REST, CLI, gNMI, gRPC
• System Features: Platform Bringup (including implementing Linux Device drivers), Stacking, High Availability
• Programming Languages: Proficient in C, C++, Python, GoLang
• NOS: Experience in NOS development/sustenance. SONIC NOS experience is a plus.
• ASICS/NPU: Must-have good working experience with Broadcom - XGS/DNX family of Devices. Optional experience with Marvell - Innovium/Prestera Family of devices.
• Project Focus: SDK/NOS development and sustenance at the Chennai facility.

• Good communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with other functional teams and customer-facing teams.

Experience and Education:

• Experience: 2 to 6 years of relevant experience.
• Education: Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Educational requirements may vary by geography.

Work Environment:

• This position is located in Guindy, Chennai, India and is a remote position: No.
• Duties are performed in a normal office environment.
• May require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration.
• Repetitive manual movements are frequently required.
• Occasional travel may be required.
