Site Reliability Engineer at LSEG - Bengaluru/Bangalore

Are you passionate about learning and driven by a continuous improvement mindset? LSEG is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for our Bengaluru/Bangalore location. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for the systems you own, with a core focus on constantly measuring and enhancing availability, latency, and overall system health.

Your responsibilities will include developing automation to ensure sustainable system scaling, proactively preventing service disruptions, and rapidly recovering services when incidents occur. You will collaborate closely with development teams to elevate system reliability, observability, and release velocity. Active participation in on-call rotations, incident response, postmortems, and root cause analysis is essential. You will also serve as a strong advocate for robust engineering practices, enabling the construction, deployment, and operation of scalable, reliable, and performant services.

As an enabler for cloud migration, you will work alongside foundation and migration teams from project inception, contributing to architectural reviews, operational acceptance testing, and the configuration of Datadog dashboards and metrics. We foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field with software/systems engineering focus, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or similar.
• Experience in maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform: Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Datadog, Dynatrace, or comparable solutions.
• Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven ability in incident response and conducting blameless post-mortems.
• Proficiency in Git workflows.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of industry experience.
• Demonstrated understanding and application of DevOps concepts and methodologies.
• Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) and application security principles.
• Experience with native Azure relational databases.
