What you’ll do:

The core responsibilities of this position include:

  • Deliver Design for Reliability (DFR) work packages for New Product Introduction (NPI) and Sustaining Engineering (SE) projects within electrical product lines, ensuring high quality and adherence to project schedules.
  • Identify and mitigate reliability risks under guidance, and follow the reliability sign-off process for NPIs.
  • Conduct warranty data analysis, forecasting, publish monthly warranty reports, and drive problem-solving for top warranty issues.
  • Create and revise DFR deliverables such as Reliability Goal Setting, Reliability Predictions, Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), Accelerated Life Testing, Reliability Demonstration Testing (RDT), Reliability Growth Analysis, and FRACAS for NPIs, VAVE projects, and existing product improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate reliability into NPI programs, existing product improvements, and VAVE projects, taking responsibility for identifying, managing, and mitigating reliability risks under senior supervision.
  • Plan and execute project milestones, conduct deliverable reviews, communicate with stakeholders, and foster on-the-job development through technical mentoring.
  • Develop an actuarial model library for electrical components, in addition to warranty monitoring, forecasting, and reporting.

Qualifications:

Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.

Preferred: Master’s Degree in Reliability Engineering or Electrical/Electronics Engineering.

Experience Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Reliability Engineering with 0-1 year of experience in Electrical/Electronics product reliability.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with 3-4 years of experience in Electrical/Electronics product reliability.

Skills:

  • Proficient in reliability statistics, FMEA, FTA, 8D, FRACAS, life modeling, and analyzing field/warranty data to derive life and failure rate information.
  • Experience with industry-proven reliability analysis tools such as Minitab or Reliasoft is preferred.
  • Desired: Work experience in electronics systems, particularly in EV chargers, controllers, UPS, or similar technologies.
  • Preferred: DFSS Green Belt certification from a reputable organization.
  • Process Management: Adept at identifying and implementing necessary processes, organizing people and activities, defining and tracking key metrics, simplifying complex processes, and maximizing resource utilization.
  • Problem Solving: Utilizes rigorous logic and methods to solve complex problems effectively, probes for comprehensive answers, identifies underlying issues, conducts honest analysis, and looks beyond superficial solutions.
  • Decision Quality: Makes sound decisions based on a combination of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment.
  • Drive for Results: Consistently achieves and exceeds goals.
  • Interpersonal Savvy: Builds rapport effectively and relates well to diverse individuals.
