Role: Project Engineer for Linux IOT Projects

Key responsibilities:

• Lead delivery and drive large-scale IoT projects based on the Linux operating system.
• Collaborate with diverse engineering teams, product marketing departments, business units, and Customer Engineering groups to ensure alignment across all project phases.
• Oversight of the complete end-to-end project lifecycle from initial software conceptualization through to final commercialization for customers.
• Execute development and deployment strategies for new System on Chips (SoCs), managing tasks ranging from pre-silicon validation to full product launch in the market.
• Demonstrate a hands-on approach to diagnosing intricate technical issues, conducting rigorous debugging sessions, and driving solutions to closure efficiently.
• Apply extensive experience with Linux Android for embedded products within an IoT context.
• Showcase strong proficiency in coding, design, and implementation across Embedded Systems environments using C/C++, along with expertise in Drivers/Frameworks and the end-to-end software stack including Android/Linux.
• Maintain a robust understanding of system architecture nuances, Linux kernel development intricacies, and device driver creation and management.
• Possess strong exposure to chipset architectures and comprehensive system aspects viewed from a dedicated software perspective.
• Demonstrate past working experience in one or more key areas such as Multimedia integration, Core Platform engineering, Ethernet Protocols, Power optimization, and Performance tuning for Linux ecosystems.

Requirements:

• Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field.
• Possess strong development expertise with C/C++ languages coupled with excellent general programming skills and best practices.
• Exhibit outstanding communication abilities for effective teamwork and proven analytical capabilities to solve complex problems.
• Demonstrate verified experience in Linux system development, specifically focusing on customizing Yocto, Ubuntu, and Debian distributions tailored for embedded hardware.
• Maintain a strong conceptual understanding of the Linux kernel internals, including module loading, memory management, and process scheduling.
• Display solid knowledge of SOC (System on Chip) systems architecture and related concepts, with specific capability in system bring-up procedures.
• Possess good technical know-how regarding Multimedia subsystems covering Camera pipelines, Video processing, Audio frameworks, Display interfaces, and Graphics rendering for Linux based devices.
• Have practical experience utilizing version control systems such as Git to manage codebases effectively alongside setting up continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate builds and testing.
• Show strong hands-on capability in troubleshooting complex software malfunctions and system-level issues encountered during product lifecycles.
• Demonstrate extensive experience managing the full Software Development Life Cycle including architectural design, detailed implementation strategies, deployment protocols, and post-launch support requirements.
• Exhibit a high aptitude for learning new technologies quickly while remaining self-motivated to explore and contribute across various breadth of technology areas relevant to IoT Linux platforms.
• Cultivate deductive problem-solving skills combined with excellent verbal and written communication abilities essential for seamless collaboration within cross-functional global teams.
