About the Role

Join Qualcomm's Engineering Group as a Software Engineer focusing on Linux Performance. This role is integral to optimizing system performance and enabling efficient user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks within system use cases through effective implementation of optimizations.
• Empower other teams by providing the necessary tools and expertise to analyze and address performance bottlenecks.
• Support and drive the development of a core set of tools essential for performance analysis.
• Contribute to the architectural evolution of systems to achieve significant performance improvements.
• Take ownership of end-to-end feature development, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Actively participate in system-level design discussions and rigorous code reviews.

Required Skills and Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in embedded software development.
• Solid understanding of OS fundamentals, data structures, and the Linux Kernel, particularly in memory reclaim and scheduler areas.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming, object-oriented concepts, and system programming within a Linux environment.
• Strong analytical and debugging capabilities, especially in multi-processor environments.
• Familiarity with Git for version control.
• Experience in optimizing user experience, memory usage, and benchmarks on Linux and Android is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of ARM architecture is a plus.
• Prior experience with Android development is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• B.E./B.Tech./M.Tech. in CSE/ECE is preferred.
