Engineer II

Join FIS as a full-time Data Engineer in Gurugram, India, to support and enhance our critical data infrastructure. In this experienced hire role, you will leverage modern data technologies to build scalable solutions driving business insights and operational efficiency within the dynamic fintech sector. You will develop and maintain data pipelines using tools like ADF and Spark, support existing data workflows, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet data requirements. Responsibilities include implementing data modeling strategies for warehousing and lakehouse environments, performing data transformations with Python/PySpark and SQL, integrating data from various sources including APIs and RESTful services, contributing to CI/CD processes with Git, and ensuring data quality, governance, and security best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain data pipelines (ADF, Spark, SQL).
• Support and enhance data workflows and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with teams to define and deliver data solutions.
• Implement data modeling for warehousing and lakehouse environments.
• Perform data transformations using Python/PySpark and SQL.
• Integrate data from APIs and RESTful services.
• Contribute to CI/CD processes using Git.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and security.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in SQL (Microsoft, Oracle, or similar).
• Experience with Spark and ADF.
• Familiarity with data formats like JSON and CSV.
• Strong understanding of the Big Data lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience with Python or PySpark.
• Knowledge of data modeling and warehousing concepts.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with storage solutions (Azure Storage Accounts, S3 buckets).
• Understanding of database administration principles.
• Shift: 2 PM to 12 AM IST

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or Redshift.
• Knowledge of KQL, DAX.
• Exposure to Power BI.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, PowerShell, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics.
