Arthrex, a premier global medical device company renowned for its innovation in orthopedics and medical education, is actively seeking an Engineer I – Manufacturing to join their team in Ave Maria, Florida. This pivotal role involves collaborating closely with the Engineering Manager to oversee the full lifecycle development of medical devices, with a specific focus on designing and optimizing manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will partner with diverse teams to drive effective new product development and ensure operational excellence within the manufacturing environment. Key responsibilities include identifying and mitigating project issues and risks, integrating with Design Engineers, Quality Engineers, and Packaging/Production departments for cost-effective new product introduction, and supporting the development of a continuous improvement culture through enhanced skill sets and tools. The role also entails leading or supporting process improvement initiatives, introducing new equipment, products, and processes, and presenting recommendations to the Leadership Team. Developing a deep understanding of current manufacturing processes to target efficiency improvements, creating manufacturing work instructions, and providing technical process support are also crucial. The Engineer I will contribute to cleanroom assembly for new projects, develop action plans for efficiency goals, and support packaging design specifications. Monitoring project timelines, coordinating equipment and process validation, staying abreast of medical device industry advancements, investigating reliability and quality improvements, and driving automation are integral to the position. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, accurate information management, and proactive analysis of workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow design. Collaboration with vendors for equipment and material procurement, evaluation of products against specifications, and estimation of production requirements and costs will also be part of the responsibilities. Furthermore, applying statistical methods for future manufacturing requirement forecasting and developing expertise in setting up routers for similar products are expected.
