Engineer

Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking a talented Software Test Engineer to join our Engineering Group in Hyderabad/Secunderabad, Telangana, India. As a key member of our team, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and validating embedded software, cloud software, system algorithms, application software, automation, and specialized utility programs. You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to design and implement comprehensive test plans, ensuring the quality of our cutting-edge, world-class products.

Responsibilities:

• Apply software and systems knowledge to design, develop, and modify test cases and validate various software components.
• Design and implement basic test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures to identify software failures.
• Write functional tests for product features.
• Assist in the identification, analysis, and documentation of software defects.
• Collaborate with project teams to achieve project objectives and enhance overall product quality.
• Assist in the development of test case automations and scripts to improve productivity.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (Preferred).
• 1+ year of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python (Preferred).
• 1+ year of experience with Software Test or System Test, including developing and automating test plans and tools like Source Code Control Systems, Continuous Integration Tools, and Bug Tracking Tools (Preferred).

This role involves working under supervision, with decision-making impacting your direct work area and work group. Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential for conveying information. Tasks may require planning, problem-solving, and prioritization.
