Engineer

Join the esteemed team at Boston Harbor Hotel as an Engineer specializing in Hotel Maintenance. This critical role ensures our luxury property upholds the highest standards of quality and sustainability through comprehensive preventative and repair maintenance. You will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, executing necessary repairs, and maintaining exceptional guest satisfaction, all while strictly adhering to safety standards and relevant codes. Your duties will span a wide range, including but not limited to: inspecting guest rooms for repair needs, installing and repairing sheetrock and wall coverings, painting designated areas, performing basic electrical installations and repairs (fixtures, switches, receptacles, bulbs), repairing furniture, installing and programming televisions, conducting minor plumbing functions, replacing and maintaining heating and cooling pumps with a focus on preventative measures, tracing and repairing water lines, troubleshooting and repairing kitchen equipment, meticulously maintaining repair and preventive maintenance records, and ensuring all work complies with local, state, and federal codes. A key aspect of this role involves contributing to high guest satisfaction scores and actively working to improve departmental and overall guest satisfaction. In times of staffing shortages or during peak check-in/out periods, you may be called upon to assist as a bell attendant. Adherence to Service Recovery Guidelines, practicing safe work habits, wearing appropriate protective safety equipment, and complying with MSDS and OSHA standards are paramount. This role is vital to ensuring overall guest satisfaction, and you will be expected to perform other duties as requested by management.
