Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer (AVP) to join the SAS team within Infrastructure - TDI, focusing on the Finance Data Warehouse. This role is based in Pune, India.

Role Description

The Senior Developer will be an integral part of the IT department, responsible for developing programs for regulatory reporting, Stress Testing, and Board reports. You will be a key member of the SAS Team in Pune, interfacing with various technologies including Oracle, Java, MicroStrategy, and Unix. Close collaboration with Business units such as Group Finance, Risk, Operations, and Production Support, as well as other IT areas, is expected. Our department operates under an agile working model.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand the functional and technical aspects of the existing codebase.
• Integrate into the team and contribute to the technical and functional enhancement of the codebase on the existing platform.
• Collaborate closely with the Algorithmic Solutions team (AlgoS).
• Develop and refine functional requirements provided by AlgoS.
• Implement requirements according to coding standards within defined timelines.
• Break down technical specifications into manageable implementation packages for junior developers.
• Document and continuously test new developments.
• Serve as a point of contact for audit requests.
• Participate in regular meetings as part of a squad and chapter within the agile working model (dbAgile@Scale).
• Engage in refinement activities and code cleanup.
• Design the new target architecture and translate it into technical specifications.
• Work closely with the domain architecture team.
• Support the transition from SAS to a strategic solution.

Skills and Experience

Required:

• Minimum 9-12 years of experience in SAS programming using Base & Macro (V9).
• Proven experience in developing complex solutions and code.
• Working knowledge of SAS/Connect to Oracle.
• Advanced experience handling mass data in very large databases and tables.
• Experience with performance optimization for big data on large-scale platforms.
• Experience with testing environments and developing test cases.
• Working knowledge of SQL development.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal).
• Excellent analytical skills, flexibility in problem-solving, open-mindedness, and the ability to share knowledge and expertise with team members.
• Experience with service-based architecture and its design.
• Strong understanding of technical architecture, particularly framework design.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of GIT Bitbucket, Unix scripting, and Python.
• Familiarity with AI code assist tools.
• Knowledge of financial business, specifically in counterparty credit risk.
• Experience with SAS GRID Manager.
• Experience with Airflow/Google Cloud composer.
• Familiarity with generative programming.
• Experience with DevOps practices.
