About the Role

As an Application Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security posture of our applications. You will leverage your foundational knowledge of security practices and hands-on experience with various security tools and methodologies to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive security assessments for web and mobile applications utilizing SAST (Static Application Security Testing), DAST (Dynamic Application Security Testing), and MAST (Mobile Application Security Testing) methodologies.
• Perform thorough Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) to detect and mitigate security risks inherent in applications.
• Actively collaborate with development teams to embed robust security practices throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Analyze and enhance existing security measures in alignment with industry best practices, including guidelines from OWASP (Open Web Application Security Project).
• Utilize essential security tools, such as OWASP ZAP, to identify vulnerabilities and provide actionable remediation recommendations.
• Contribute to the development and ongoing maintenance of security standards and operational procedures.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in application security, emerging threats, and evolving threat landscapes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Possess 2 to 3 years of dedicated experience in Application Security or a closely related field.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of core security principles and common application vulnerabilities.
• Exhibit practical experience with SAST, DAST, MAST, and various security assessment tools, including but not limited to OWASP ZAP.
• Familiarity with the processes involved in Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT).
• A certification such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) will be considered a significant advantage.
• Exhibit excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Possess strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration within a team environment.

Location and Working Conditions

• Location: Navi Mumbai (Belapur), India.
• Working Mode: This is an onsite position. Alternate Saturdays are working days.
