Senior DevOps Engineer - Platform Development (Noida, India)

Landis+Gyr, a pioneer in integrated energy management solutions, is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Platform Development team in Noida, India. This R&D/Developer role is crucial for understanding and managing the deployment needs of our sophisticated software solutions across Google Cloud Platform (GCP), multi-cloud, and on-premises environments. A solid understanding of networking, configuration, and firewall rules is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Networking as Code (NaC) solutions for GCP and hybrid cloud infrastructures.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize Terraform modules for provisioning and managing cloud resources, including Compute, Storage, Networking, and IAM.
• Configure and manage CI/CD agents like GitLab Runners for build and deployment pipelines across various environments.
• Apply GitOps principles for reliable and automated deployments in GCP and Kubernetes-based systems.
• Build and package Linux and Windows software installers for diverse enterprise and customer environments.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, PowerShell, and Python.
• Utilize Docker and Kubernetes (GKE/Anthos preferred) for managing and scaling containerized applications.
• Troubleshoot complex issues within cloud and hybrid environments, encompassing networking, IAM, and software installations.
• Implement and support continuous monitoring and observability solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Nagios, Zabbix, or GCP Cloud Monitoring & Logging.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams, leveraging version control and CI/CD tools like GIT, Gerrit, GitLab, Azure DevOps/TFS, and Jenkins.
• Contribute to essential deployment documentation and cloud runbooks for internal operations and customer-facing materials.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Hands-on experience with key GCP services: Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL/Spanner, VPC, IAM, Cloud Armor, Load Balancing, Service Accounts, and Secrets Manager.
• Experience with multi-cloud/hybrid-cloud deployments; AWS and Azure experience are beneficial.
• Familiarity with cloud cost optimization, performance tuning, and security best practices.

Behavioral Competencies:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within globally distributed teams and with external partners.
• Excellent technical writing capabilities for documentation purposes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, ECE, or related fields (B.E., B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA).
• 1-5 years of relevant experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure Engineering, or similar roles.
• GCP certification (Associate Cloud Engineer, Professional DevOps Engineer, or equivalent) is a significant advantage.
