About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer specializing in Camera Hardware/Video Frameworks (HWL) for Qualcomm India. You will drive the development, optimization, and maintenance of camera sensor drivers and image processing algorithms for next-generation mobile devices.

Your Mission

• Optimize Performance: Enhance camera functionality, image quality, and system efficiency across Qualcomm's diverse product portfolio using advanced multimedia technologies.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with hardware engineers, architects, and QA teams to integrate camera modules seamlessly into SoC architectures.
• Solve Complex Issues: Debug real-time challenges like memory corruption, deadlocks, and race conditions in embedded environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop camera sensor drivers for Android-based mobile platforms.
• Tune image processing algorithms to ensure superior visual output.
• Maintain unit testing frameworks (GoogleTest/CPPTest) to guarantee code robustness.
• Travel Readiness: Willingness to travel to customer sites and global Qualcomm offices for troubleshooting and knowledge sharing is essential.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering/CS; PhD encouraged. Min. 2 years of experience required.
• Languages: Proficiency in C and C++ is mandatory.
• Core Knowledge: Deep understanding of OS fundamentals (virtual memory, CPU scheduling), Android camera systems, SoC architecture, and embedded real-time development.
• Skills: Image quality tuning, debugging race conditions, analytical thinking, and strong communication abilities.
