Role Summary
Join Ingersoll Rand as an Engineer at our Global Engineering & Technology Center in Bangalore. This role involves assisting with routine engineering and design responsibilities for diverse product lines.
Training Program:
Selected candidates will undergo up to 6 months of training covering Design development, CAD conversions (Creo/Solidworks/NX/Inventor), Lab assignments, manufacturing prints, and Bill of Materials. Upon successful completion, individuals are assigned to specific engineering departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engineering and design of industrial equipment including Air Compressors, Power tools, and Fluid Pumps.
- Creation and PLM release of 3D parts/Assemblies and 2D drawings per company standards.
- Deliver component/system-level designs and participate in reviews using methods like DFMEA and Root Cause Analysis.
- Implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Assembly strategies.
- Conduct product prototype validation testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional global teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Post Graduation in Mechanical Engineering.
- 1 - 3 years of experience using Creo, Solidworks, Inventor, or NX for complex mechanical components.
- Strong 3D CAD knowledge (Solid modeling, drafting, assembly).
- Windchill and industry-specific experience are plus factors.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite; basic coding skills optional.
