Join EY in Bengaluru, India, as an Endpoint Security Engineer and contribute to building a better working world. As part of our global Information Security team, you will play a critical role in protecting EY and client information assets. We are a collaborative team of nearly 900 professionals dedicated to enabling secure business operations and delivering secure products and services.
The Opportunity
In the Security Technology Services (STS) group, you will be responsible for the design, engineering, implementation, and early lifecycle support of security solutions within EY's multi-cloud and on-premise environments. This role requires close collaboration with Security Architects, Service Delivery, Security Operations, and Cyber Defense teams to enable robust security solutions and services. You will also provide consulting services and act as a level four contact for operational issues.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Engineer and implement security solutions and services for On-Premise, Hybrid, and Cloud-Based environments, adhering to EY standards.
- Lead the design, implementation, and testing of security solutions for complex projects, including production support and documentation.
- Take ownership of the design, delivery, and maintenance of new and existing security solutions, ensuring compliance and contributing to standards development.
- Apply modern security standards and principles to design and deploy security solutions.
- Enhance existing security solutions by collaborating with Security Architecture, STS Service Owner, and Security Operations. Drive automation and innovation across supported security solutions.
- Build strong relationships within a diverse, global, and geographically dispersed organization.
- Flexibility to work outside regular office hours for global team calls and meetings, including potential weekend or late-night work during project and support phases.
- Provide technical leadership within assigned projects, without direct supervision responsibilities.
Skills and Attributes for Success
- Advanced skills in planning, designing, and solving complex security solutions and services.
- Advanced technical proficiency in designing and implementing security solutions within multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) including:
- Cloud-based security tools
- Cloud-based or On-Premise SIEM
- Container Security tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Enterprise Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Security Platforms
- Fluent written and verbal English communication, with the ability to convey technical concepts effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and define engineering standards.
To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have
- A desire to work in a diverse, multi-cultural, global environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 4+ years of Information Security experience.
- 3+ years demonstrated ability in an engineering function.
- Technical proficiency in Azure, Google Cloud, and/or AWS cloud services, hybrid, and on-premise security solutions, including Linux and Windows Operating Systems.
- Technical proficiency in scripting tools (Python, Ansible, PowerShell, etc.), API interaction, and shell scripting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of enterprise-level infrastructure security best practices.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to clearly document processes, procedures, and security designs.
- Demonstrated experience working with external vendors and suppliers in the security industry.
Ideally, You’ll Also Have
- Technical experience in a large, complex, global IT environment.
- Involvement in large-scale global IT deployments or application cloud migrations.
- At least one technical certification from a public cloud provider (Azure, AWS, or Google preferred).
