Your Contribution
- Develop embedded software applications for PPC processor targets, focusing on hardware design verification and manufacturing testing.
- Design and implement robust Linux drivers and diagnostics for Ciena Packet Networking Platforms.
- Collaborate on application software driver development and create diagnostics to validate system design elements and facilitate debugging.
- Configure and manage control and data paths to support design verification and manufacturing testing processes.
- Integrate and develop control plane and device drivers for data plane components within telecommunication and networking systems.
- Support secure booting procedures, including root-of-trust implementations and certificate management.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams such as hardware design, power and thermal design, and project management to deliver high-quality Linux platform solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics and Telecommunication or Computer Science.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in embedded firmware development.
- Proficiency in Linux driver/middleware development for embedded platforms.
- Demonstrated skills in diagnostic tools, software design, coding, debugging, and testing.
- Significant experience developing low-level drivers or diagnostics for telecom/datacom networking platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities for effective cross-team collaboration.
- Experience developing within both new and existing codebases with organized coding styles.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with ONT, PON, G-PON technologies, OMCI stack, Y.1731, RFC2544, and related protocols.
- Experience with network processors, MACs, control processors, physical layers, TDM, I2C, and SERDES devices.
- Aptitude for problem-solving and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
- Self-motivated with a strong team-oriented approach.
- Ability to quickly understand technical concepts for products under development.
