Ellucian Banner Business Analyst

Role Overview

We are seeking a Business Analyst at our New York State location (based in New Jersey) to support, maintain, and enhance an enterprise resource planning environment for higher education. You will serve as the key technical and functional liaison between IT teams and campus administrative departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide tier-2 and tier-3 support for Ellucian Banner modules (Student, Financial Aid, General, Finance, HR) and integrated third-party applications.
• Troubleshoot complex system issues, user requests, and data anomalies reported by functional departments while adhering to defined SLA guidelines.
• Collaborate with DBAs and developers to implement updates, patches, releases, and regulatory changes (e.g., financial aid, IRS reporting).
• Assist in configuring validation tables, rules, security profiles, and monitoring scheduled batch jobs/integrations (UC4/Automic, AppWorx).
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions for process improvement.
• Create comprehensive documentation including SOPs and end-user guides using tools like PL/SQL, Argos, Crystal Reports, or Cognos.
• Conduct training sessions on Banner functionality and best practices for administrative staff.
