Role: Electronics and Embedded System Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an expert to lead the design, development, and implementation of electronics systems for drones and automated docking solutions. This Government-funded initiative aims to drive innovation in UAV technologies through advanced hardware-software integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect firmware using RTOS principles (task scheduling, inter-task communication) ensuring real-time constraints are met.
• Design multi-layer PCBs and prototyping for drone subsystems; conduct extensive SITL/HIL simulations and field testing to ensure safety and stability.
• Develop embedded hardware/firmware expertise in Analog/Digital circuits using ARM Cortex-based MCUs (STM32, MSP 430).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical systems, ensuring precise design alignment for UAV autopilot applications.

Technical Requirements

Qualifications: PhD OR MTech/ME/BTech (or equivalent) + relevant experience in embedded system design and drone technologies.

Skill Set:

• Firmware development: Proficiency in Embedded C/C++ with a focus on debugging, optimizing performance, and Real-Time Operating Systems like NuttX, Zephyr-RTOS, or Thread X.
• Hardware Protocols & Sensors: Deep experience with USB, SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, sensor fusion, control systems, and navigation algorithms (Ardupilot, PX4).
• System Design: PCB design, processor selection, manufacturing validation, and flight controller firmware integration.
