Electrical Engineer for Data Center Projects

DC Forte India is seeking a meticulous and proactive Electrical Engineer to join our team in Mumbai. This role is instrumental in the design, development, and coordination of robust, reliable, and energy-efficient electrical systems essential for mission-critical data center projects. You will have the opportunity to contribute to large-scale, international data center developments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop comprehensive electrical systems for Data Centers, encompassing power distribution, grounding and earthing, lighting, emergency lighting, and standby/backup power solutions.
• Prepare and manage Single-Line Diagrams (SLDs), electrical schematics, and panel schedules utilizing EPLAN and Revit.
• Conduct power system analysis using ETAP for short circuit, load flow, arc flash studies, and protection coordination.
• Develop and validate lighting designs with DIALux.
• Collaborate closely with mechanical, civil, and architectural teams to ensure seamless multidisciplinary integration.
• Participate in peer design reviews and guarantee adherence to international standards such as IEC, IEEE, NEC, and NFPA 70E.
• Prepare detailed design documentation, technical specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Support commissioning activities and address Requests for Information (RFIs) during the construction phase.
• Ensure full compliance with local electrical codes and global data center standards.
• Stay abreast of the latest technological advancements in mission-critical power systems.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional engineering teams.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Experience Requirements:

• Junior Level: 1+ years of experience.
• Intermediate Level: 5+ years of experience.
• Senior Level: 8+ years of experience, with a minimum of 2 years specifically leading mission-critical/data center electrical design.

Technical Skills (Preferred Tools & Expertise):

• Proficiency in ETAP for power system modeling and analysis.
• Expertise in EPLAN for electrical schematics and control panel design.
• Experience with Revit for BIM modeling and coordination.
• Skill in DIALux for lighting design and simulation.

Technical Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of NEC, IEC, IEEE, and NFPA 70E standards.
• Familiarity with Uptime Institute Tier classifications.
• Knowledge of redundancy concepts such as N, N+1, and 2N.
• Experience in mission-critical environments including Data Centers, Telecom, and Hospitals.
• Exposure to HV/MV substations, switchgear layouts, and BMS integration.
• Knowledge of digital twin or energy monitoring systems is considered an added advantage.
