Electrical Engineer

Schneider Electric in Bengaluru/Bangalore, India, is seeking an Electrical Engineer for the Global Technology Alliance (GTA) team. This order engineering role involves preparing bills of materials for quotation packages for MV & LV switchgear products. The successful candidate will interpret customer requirements, match products to specifications and drawings, and ensure quotes are technically compatible and competitive. Responsibilities include communicating with Sales Engineers, analyzing contractual and technical terms, understanding bid strategies, and participating in the order handoff process. The role requires development of quotations from material take-off, providing quality customer service, building stakeholder relationships, staying updated on new products, and coordinating with internal teams. Candidates will utilize product knowledge for decision-making, suggest substitute products, and download necessary specifications. This position may require flexible working hours to support remote US teams and potentially minimal travel.

Required Competencies: Strong fundamental knowledge in electrical engineering, passion for competitive environments, quick learning ability, teamwork, interpretation of basic electrical drawings (front elevation, one-line, schematic), strong communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills, and proficiency with AutoCAD.

Preferred Competencies: Knowledge of low voltage switchboard/switchgear tendering, design, installation, and application; experience with AutoCAD; familiarity with relays and their functions; and knowledge of UL standards (UL 845, UL 508, UL 1558, UL891) is a plus.

Qualifications: BE (Electrical & Electronics Engineering) or MTech (Power Systems Engineering) from reputed colleges/universities with a minimum of 65% or 6.8/10 CGPA. Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in electrical switchgear is advantageous.
