Join Schneider Electric's Global Technology Alliance (GTA) team as an Electrical Engineer in Bengaluru/Bangalore, India. This role focuses on order engineering within Schneider Electric's manufacturing plants, collaborating with remote teams, particularly in the US, requiring flexible shift timings. The primary objective is to leverage your technical expertise to prepare accurate bills of materials for quotation packages of various MV & LV switchgear products. You will be responsible for interpreting customer requirements, matching products to specifications and drawings, and ensuring technically compatible and competitive quotes. Effective communication with Sales Engineers to clarify project needs is crucial. The ideal candidate will understand, analyze, document, and communicate contractual, technical, and commercial terms, alongside having a working knowledge of bid strategies and market conditions. Participation in the order handoff process to ensure smooth order conversion and the proactive utilization of new tools and technology for improved efficiency are key aspects of this role.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop quotations based on material take-off from engineered plans.
- Provide consistent, responsive, and high-quality service to customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders involved in quotation development.
- Stay current with new products, industry trends, and product developments.
- Coordinate with internal Quote Support Groups to meet schedules and project requirements.
- Gather all necessary information for accurate quote preparation.
- Utilize product knowledge and experience to make informed decisions regarding product specifications and solutions for specific projects.
- Actively participate in coordinating, analyzing, and acting upon customer needs, product information, competitive landscape, and processes.
- Identify and suggest suitable substitute products where applicable.
- Download required specifications, perform plan take-offs, etc.
- Undertake stretched assignments as needed.
- Work flexible shifts to support remote teams in the US.
- Minimal travel may be required.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Provide input and market intelligence as required.
- Attend sales meetings and training programs as needed.
Required Competencies:
- Strong foundational knowledge in electrical engineering.
- Passion for working in a competitive environment.
- Ability to learn quickly and function effectively as a team player.
- Proficiency in interpreting basic front elevation, one-line, and schematic drawings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Conversant with AutoCAD.
Preferred Competencies:
- Knowledge of low voltage switchboard/switchgear tendering, design, installation, and application.
- Experience using AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with relays and their functions.
- Knowledge of UL standards (UL 845, UL 508, UL 1558, UL891) is an advantage.

Qualifications:
- Education: BE (Electrical & Electronics Engineering) or MTech (Power Systems Engineering) from reputed colleges/universities with a minimum of 65% or 6.8/10 CGPA.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Experience in the field of electrical switchgear is an added advantage.
