Early Career Tactical Planner

Sandia National Laboratories, a premier national science and engineering lab for national security and technology innovation, seeks an Early Career Tactical Planner to serve as a Facilities Building Manager. This onsite role in Albuquerque, NM involves collaborating with diverse teams to optimize space utilization, conduct scope development studies, and oversee facility maintenance to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include developing cross-divisional building management strategies, analyzing building types and space designs for scope development studies (laboratory, office, storage, conference rooms), and ensuring infrastructure meets customer needs. The role requires daily building walkthroughs, customer relations management, field verification, and meticulous submission of maintenance service requests via the Maximo enterprise database system, ensuring timely resolutions. Effective communication and scheduling of maintenance activities are crucial to minimize impact on customer productivity. You will review and interpret project and facility drawings, collaborate with the Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) team, and maintain the Maximo information database. Developing project scopes and budgets, authorizing building modifications, and overseeing execution with Facilities Express (FE) and contractors are key duties. Reviewing and accepting minor construction work, including maintenance and FE projects, across various disciplines (architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical) is expected. You will also communicate with architects and engineers, negotiate customer requirements, and present daily/weekly plans. Support for Preliminary Real Estate Plans (PREPs), Division Facility and Infrastructure (F&I) Plans, the DOE Facility Information Management System (FIMS), and other studies will be required.
