Dot Net Developer

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced .NET Developer to join our cross-functional team. In this role, you will be part of a major initiative for a leading global provider of audit and assurance, consulting, financial advisory, risk advisory, tax, and related services.

The client is launching a digital transformation project focused on evaluating existing technology across the tax lifecycle. This involves decomposing current assets to determine functionality, assessing functionalities to define the appropriate end state, and building new technologies to replace legacy systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing back-end solutions for new functionality
• Participating in code reviews with a focus on architecture and documentation standards (OOP, DDD, SOLID)
• Collaborating effectively with stakeholders including PMs, developers, architects, QA engineers, and colleagues
• Taking a proactive stance in solution development and process improvement initiatives
• Delivering against the product roadmap while planning for future scalability
• Solving complex technical problems during development and providing rapid field support solutions
• Maintaining highest coding standards to ensure code is highly testable, automatable, and performant throughout the SDLC

Requirements:

• More than 4 years of commercial software development experience required
• Excellent knowledge of computer science fundamentals including algorithms and data structures
• Familiarity with architectural and enterprise patterns (Design)
• Understanding of network protocols, authentication flows, and authorization practices
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or DynamoDB
• Knowledge of key-value storages like Redis or Memcached
• Basic understanding of containerization tools including Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong proficiency in C# and .NET frameworks (.NET Framework, .NET Core)
• Commercial experience with ASP.NET (Core/MVC/WebAPI), ORM technologies (Entity Framework/Dapper)
• Solid knowledge of RDBMS systems particularly SQL Server
• Familiarity with messaging systems like RabbitMQ or ServiceBus
• Experience deploying on cloud providers such as Azure
• Proficiency in testing frameworks including NUnit, XUnit, and MSTest
• Working experience with web servers and version control systems like GIT
• Upper-intermediate English language skills required

Desirable Skills:

• Experience integrating Search Engines such as ElasticSearch or Azure Search
• Background in REST API development for mobile applications
• History of integration projects with third-party solutions
