We are seeking a visionary Director of Software Engineering – AI/ML to lead our strategic initiative in integrating Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning into semiconductor design workflows. In this role, you will define the AI roadmap for engineering groups, deploy agentic solutions across frontend modeling/synthesis and backend place-and-route processes, and build scalable frameworks for data pipelines and model deployment.

• Spearhead the end-to-end integration of AI/ML into EDA toolchains and design automation flows.
• Establish robust infrastructure for data collection, labeling, training, validation, and production-grade ML deployment using technologies like LangChain, vector databases, and RAG architectures.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with architecture, platform, and external partner teams to automate engineering productivity and decision-making.
• Build high-performance leadership teams and define KPIs that measure ROI, quality improvements, and operational efficiency gains from AI initiatives.
• Ensure strict alignment with enterprise governance while driving continuous innovation in LLM ecosystems and emerging AI technologies tailored for chip design.

• M.Tech/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 20+ years of software development experience, including 10+ years leading large engineering teams.
• Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience specifically within the semiconductor and/or EDA industry.
• Demonstrated expertise applying ML/AI to solve complex real-world engineering problems; preferred background in building AI-driven solutions for design optimization and automation.
• Deep proficiency with LLM ecosystems, embeddings, knowledge retrieval systems, and integrating autonomous agents into production workflows.
• Strong architectural skills covering distributed systems, scalable data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and ML workflow orchestration (e.g., TensorFlow/PyTorch).
• Proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives across global geographies with a strong focus on quality processes and delivery excellence.
