Data Scientist Position at Firstsource - Chennai

Firstsource is seeking a skilled Data Scientist to join their team in Chennai, India. This role focuses on leveraging expertise in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, and Generative AI to develop innovative data-driven solutions and applications. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing and deploying dynamic models and applications using modern web frameworks such as Flask and FastAPI, ensuring efficient deployment and continuous monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Model Development and Application: Design, implement, and deploy advanced Machine Learning and Deep Learning models. Develop web applications using Flask and FastAPI for real-time data processing and user interaction.
• Data Analysis: Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns, correlations, and trends. Create robust data processing pipelines for large datasets.
• Generative AI: Utilize Generative AI techniques for data augmentation, content generation, and innovation in synthetic data production.
• Collaborative Development: Work with cross-functional teams to integrate AI capabilities into products and systems, aligning solutions with business objectives.
• Research and Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, ML, DL, Computer Vision, and NLP. Explore and adopt new technologies and methodologies.
• Communication: Clearly articulate complex quantitative analyses and insights to senior management and other departments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Experience: 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in data science, with a strong emphasis on ML, DL, and statistical modeling.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Python, including experience with Flask or FastAPI. Expertise in ML/DL frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow), Computer Vision libraries (e.g., OpenCV), and NLP libraries (e.g., NLTK, spaCy).
• Generative AI: Demonstrated experience with generative models like GANs, VAEs, or Transformers.
• Deployment Skills: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to derive actionable insights from complex data.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications in Data Science, ML, or AI are a plus.
