Digital Performance Engineering Lead - Pune Division

About the Role

This senior-level position leads applications systems analysis and programming activities within Citi Technology. You will establish enterprise-wide performance engineering strategies, manage workload modeling for cloud-native applications, and drive non-functional requirements validation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead execution of performance engineering strategy, benchmarking, and NFR validation across distributed systems.
• Partner with management teams to integrate functions and define system enhancements for new products.
• Solve high-impact problems through deep evaluation of business processes and industry standards.
• Serve as a coach/mentor to mid-level developers while ensuring application design adheres to architectural blueprints.

Technical Expertise Required

You will be expected to:

1. Coding Frameworks: Design robust performance testing frameworks, load generators, and automated test suites using Java and Python.
2. CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated regression testing and quality gates into Lightspeed (Tekton/Harness) pipelines.
3. Kubernetes & Containers: Optimize workloads on Red Hat OpenShift, manage pod sizing, resource allocation, and runtime diagnostics.
4. Observability: Architect full-stack observability using metrics, logs, distributed tracing, and AI-driven telemetry to reduce MTTR/MTTD.
5. SRE Practices: Lead resilience engineering including chaos experiments, fault injection, and failover validations.
6. RCA & Optimization: Conduct root cause analysis on bottlenecks (memory leaks, thread contention) and implement self-healing solutions.
