DevOps & SRE Engineer

BambooBox, a leading SaaS startup in Bengaluru, India, is seeking a skilled DevOps & SRE Engineer for its Production team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the utmost reliability, scalability, and performance of our cutting-edge AI/ML platform. You will collaborate closely with the development team to facilitate seamless deployments and maintain robust operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively monitor and optimize MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases for performance, scalability, and availability.
• Manage and maintain Kubernetes clusters, covering deployment, scaling, security, and upgrades.
• Set up and maintain comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) to ensure application uptime and reliability.
• Oversee patch deployments, manage release pipelines, and automate deployment processes.
• Manage cloud infrastructure and network configurations, ensuring adherence to stringent security best practices.
• Respond to production incidents, conduct thorough root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures to enhance system resilience.

Required Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering role.
• Proven experience with Kubernetes, ideally EKS, GKE, or AKS.
• Hands-on administration experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Strong understanding of Linux administration, networking concepts, and security hardening.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, or Datadog.
• Familiarity with major cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Proficient in scripting languages like Bash or Python for automation tasks.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Helm, or Ansible.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting distributed systems.
• Exposure to ISO 27001 or SOC2 compliance practices.
• Interest in performance benchmarking and chaos engineering.
