WebEngage is seeking a talented DevOps Engineer / Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team in Mumbai, Maharashtra. You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining our high-scale, secure infrastructure, ensuring platform reliability and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement high-scale and secure infrastructure.
• Plan and own your slice of the infrastructure roadmap.
• Enhance security practices around all aspects of infrastructure.
• Drive organization-wide infosec and compliance programs, such as ISO and SOC2.
• Review the operational efficiency of the infrastructure and research methods for improvement.
• Design and operate robust scaling strategies for distributed technologies.
• Research and implement innovative methods for reducing cloud costs.
• Boost platform reliability by setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines, centralized logging, monitoring, and observability platforms.
• Automate the robust provisioning of the entire infrastructure.
• Design and perform dry-runs of Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) practices.
• Monitor critical metrics to help reduce reaction time to incidents.
• Measure system resilience and track performance and availability Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science or a related engineering/science field.
• 3 to 6 years of experience in managing high-scale cloud infrastructure.
• Strong fundamental knowledge of Linux/Unix Administration.
• Hands-on experience with Shell scripting, Python, and Ansible.
• Extensive hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP.
• Experience in deployment automation, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Maven, GitLab), and monitoring tools (Prometheus, DataDog, Sentry).
• Knowledge of databases, the architecture of distributed technologies (e.g., Kafka, Elasticsearch), JVMs, web servers (e.g., Nginx), and proxies (e.g., HAProxy).
• An intrinsic desire to delve deeper beneath the abstractions offered by new-age systems.
• Knowledge of containers and orchestration technologies, particularly Kubernetes.
• Experience with B2B software is a plus.
• Proven experience in gathering, translating, and prioritizing customer requirements, and defining product roadmaps.
• Excellent organization, communication, and presentation skills.
