Your Responsibilities

• Design and implement solutions that drive automation and optimize performance across the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Securing buy-in for DevOps methodologies from Product Owners, Platform Leads, and key stakeholders to commit to new ways of working.
• Build internal and external relationships ensuring decisions are commercially focused and create long-term value.
• Collaborate on the development of a DevOps strategy and roadmap aligned with business goals.
• Design and oversee system architecture focusing on scalability, reliability, efficiency, and cost reduction.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance the DevOps ecosystem.
• Lead automation of advanced workflows by creating reusable modules and templates while ensuring compliance alignment.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical guidance.

The Skills You'll Need

You must possess knowledge of core DevOps principles paired with experience in common tools, source code management, deployment, and configuration tooling. Essential skills include:

• Strong proficiency in GITLAB CI/CD pipeline design (Gitflow/trunk-based strategies).
• Expertise in containerization technologies within PCF and AWS cloud platforms.
• SRE focus on Developer Experience (DX) and Application Performance Monitoring (APM).
• Hands-on skills with observability tools, especially Splunk.
• Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using YAML scripts.

Preferred: Knowledge of Mainframe technologies such as DB2 is a plus.
