Position: DevOps Engineer II

Experience: 3+ years as a DevOps Engineer

Location: Bangalore, India (Note: Original data also lists Hyderabad / Secunderabad, Telangana, Chennai, Pune as locations)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy and manage infrastructure for Bottomline solutions in cloud and on-premise customer environments.
• Enhance automation for build and deployment pipelines.
• Monitor system, application, and network performance and availability.
• Implement and advance DevSecOps practices.
• Design scalable network deployment architectures, requirements, and solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement in processes and technologies.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of the end-to-end Software Development Lifecycle.
• Possess strong knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools such as GitLab, ArgoCD, Jenkins, and Maven.
• Exhibit experience with container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Be proficient with infrastructure-as-code frameworks like Terraform and Puppet.
• Have experience with monitoring and observability tools including the ELK stack, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Maintain a good understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SSL/TLS, VPN, routing tables, etc.).
• Familiarity with databases and Java programming is a plus.
• Understand multi-tier architectures, web development, and Service-Oriented Architecture.
• Comprehend Object-Oriented design and development principles.
• Apply modern engineering best practices.
• Communicate effectively (verbal and written) and possess strong interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with messaging queues (e.g., SQL, PL/SQL).
• Experience with AWS DevOps is advantageous.
• A passion for learning and mastering information technology.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Experience in the financial industry is a plus.
• Experience in web application development using modern web frameworks.
• Proficiency in RESTful API design, ORM concepts, and software testing.
• Experience with Web Server/Application Server deployments and administration (Weblogic, Apache Tomcat).
