Position Title: DevOps Engineer-II
Experience Required: 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer
Location: Bangalore, India
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy and maintain infrastructure for Bottomline solutions hosted in cloud and customer on-premise environments.
- Enhance automation within our build and deployment processes.
- Monitor system, application, and network performance and availability.
- Implement DevSecOps practices.
- Prepare scalable network deployment architectures, requirements, and solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement of processes and technologies.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the end-to-end Software Development Lifecycle.
- Leverage strong knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools, including Gitlab, ArgoCD, Jenkins, and Maven.
- Apply experience in container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Utilize experience with infrastructure-as-code frameworks such as Terraform and Puppet.
- Implement monitoring and observability solutions like the ELK stack, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SSL/TLS, VPN, routing tables, etc.).
- A basic understanding of databases and the Java programming language is preferred.
- Understand multi-tier architectures, web-based development, and Service-Oriented Architecture.
- Apply understanding of Object-Oriented design and development principles.
- Adhere to modern engineering best practices.
- Utilize excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with various queuing systems like SQL, PL/SQL, etc.
- Experience with AWS DevOps is a plus.
- Demonstrate a passion for learning and mastering information technology.
- Knowledge of Agile programming methodologies.
- Familiarity with the financial industry.
- Experience in web application development using modern web frameworks.
- Experience with RESTful API design, ORM concepts, and software testing.
- Experience with Web Server/Application Server deployments and administration (Weblogic, Apache Tomcat).
