About the Role: DevOps Engineer
Unison Consulting is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. This role is crucial for optimizing our software development lifecycle and ensuring robust production environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engineer highly optimized CI/CT/CD pipelines designed to execute within minutes, significantly improving deployment speed and efficiency.
- Champion and enforce best practices in code quality and release/deployment processes to achieve near-zero production incidents, ensuring stability and reliability.
- Build, manage, and maintain diverse development, test, and production environments, enabling effective release management with single-click deployment capabilities across all environments.
- Design, build, and maintain continuous integration, testing, and deployment (CI/CT/CD) pipelines for a variety of applications including microservices, middleware, web, Android mobile, and iOS mobile apps.
- Collaborate closely with architects, development engineers, and system administrators to provision and maintain platform infrastructure, encompassing both on-premise and cloud-based solutions for development, testing, and production needs.
- Develop and maintain essential system and application health check and house-keeping jobs to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Troubleshoot system and connectivity errors, coordinating with administrators, vendors, and other teams to ensure timely resolution and minimal disruption.
- Develop, maintain, and meticulously document best practices in source control management and infrastructure as code (IaC) to promote consistency and efficiency.
- Build, test, and manage the implementation of new application solutions at an enterprise scale, leveraging the latest automation and DevOps technologies to minimize support overhead and re-work while streamlining deployment and upgrade processes.
- Track, maintain, and renew critical infrastructure, web, and mobile application certificates, signing keys, key-stores, and profiles to ensure security and compliance.
- Track, enforce, and maintain code quality, security, and performance reports, proactively identifying areas for improvement.
- Identify key improvement areas within the DevOps processes and engage relevant stakeholders to drive successful implementation of changes.
- Stay abreast of evolving technologies and conduct proof-of-concept integrations for successful platform integrations, aligning with the company's strategic roadmap.
- Maintain and manage essential platform collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence to facilitate seamless team communication and project management.
Technical Requirements:
- Solid exposure to the Linux platform and experience integrating with various third-party tools.
- Proven experience in virtualization, networking, and application containerization technologies.
- Hands-on experience with the AWS cloud stack.
- Demonstrated experience in containerized development, particularly with Docker.
- Proficiency in Shell Scripting for automation and system administration tasks.
- Familiarity with Java applications, specifically frameworks like Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
- Understanding of Netflix OSS components and concepts (e.g., Eureka, Hystrix, Config Server) or their Kubernetes equivalents (e.g., Secrets, ConfigMaps, service discovery).
