DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer at Fort Technologies, you will be a key player in our mission to accelerate the delivery of quality services by bridging the gap between development and operations. This role demands a generalist mindset with expertise spanning infrastructure management, system administration, automation, release management, coding, and a deep understanding of DevOps tools. You will foster collaboration across teams, proactively identify and solve challenges, and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills. We are looking for a high-performing, adaptable team player who can lead initiatives from conception through implementation in a dynamic environment.

What We're Looking For:

Amazon Web Services (Minimum 5 Years Experience):

• Design and maintain highly available, scalable, and cost-effective development and production environments on AWS.
• Demonstrated experience with core AWS services including EC2, VPC, S3, Load Balancers, IAM, Cognito, CloudWatch, CloudFront, and Systems Manager.
• Deploy and manage AWS database services such as RDS, MongoDB Atlas, and Kafka.
• Proficient in Kafka, with the ability to debug and optimize application performance using it.
• Experience deploying and maintaining AWS Lambda, including automated serverless application deployments (a plus).

Continuous Delivery:

• Develop and maintain fully automated CI build processes for various environments.
• Working knowledge of build tools and processes, including Maven.

Linux Systems:

• Proficient in the setup, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Linux systems.
• Ability to recommend best practices for OS/Kernel configuration, security policies, and performance tuning.
• Experience in systems management automation using Python and Bash.

Containerization:

• Strong understanding of virtualization concepts and Docker.
• Hands-on experience with AWS ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes.
• Implement auto-scaling solutions for EC2 instances and Docker containers.

Monitoring and Automation:

• Develop automated monitoring solutions using Python or Go to track critical environment metrics.
• Automate AWS and other deployment tasks using CloudFormation or Terraform for standardized service deployment.

Logging (Beneficial):

• Experience setting up and configuring open-source logging tools like Kibana for centralized log aggregation and reporting.
