DevOps Engineer

Experian is seeking an enthusiastic DevOps Engineer to join our Consumer Information, Analytics and Decisioning department in Experian UK. This hybrid role requires occasional travel to our Hyderabad office.

About the Team:

The Marketplaces Platform is instrumental in helping individuals discover, comprehend, and apply for the most suitable financial products. Across Loans, Credit Cards, Auto, and Mortgages, we partner with lenders of all sizes to connect consumers with the right products. In the eligibility domain, we manage vast amounts of data and product facts to support comparison journeys and provide pre-approved status indicators through our decisioning capabilities. Main Responsibilities:

• Collaborate within an agile team to develop and enhance our existing application portfolio.
• Partner with multinational product teams to support and improve the full product lifecycle through the development and maintenance of cloud infrastructure and automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide expert support for non-functional software requirements and offer technical assistance to our engineering teams.
• Monitor application deployments and uptime to ensure optimal product responsiveness.
• Propose secure, maintainable, and cost-effective solutions for revising, updating, refactoring, and debugging both new and existing codebases.
• Write clean, scalable code adhering to design patterns and best practices.
• Document services, infrastructure, and operational procedures.
• Support the professional development of team members.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience with the AWS cloud platform.
• 4 to 6 years of experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitOps practices, with proven experience in Terraform or AWS CDK.
• Demonstrable experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins.
• Experience in developing monitoring and alerting dashboards with tools such as New Relic or Dynatrace.
• Experience managing and maintaining both Windows and Linux operating systems at scale.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, including IP addressing, DNS routing, firewalls, load balancers, and WAFs.
• Familiarity with Active Directory (Microsoft AD, ADFS preferred).
• Experience developing applications and tools in .NET (C#), including application testing (unit, integration, performance, and vulnerability).
• Experience working in Agile environments.

Useful Skills:

• Experience with databases and database management (MSSQL).
• Understanding of AI tools and their application in driving change.
