DevOps Engineer - Hyderabad
Experian is seeking an enthusiastic DevOps Engineer to join our Consumer Information, Analytics and Decisioning business unit. This is a hybrid role, requiring attendance at our Hyderabad office once a week.
About the Marketplaces Platform
The Marketplaces Platform plays a crucial role in helping individuals discover, understand, and apply for suitable financial products. Across Loans, Credit Cards, Auto, and Mortgages, we collaborate with lenders of all sizes to effectively match individuals with the right products and providers. Within the eligibility domain, we aggregate vast amounts of data and product information to power comparison journeys, utilizing extensive decisioning capabilities to provide the 'pre-approved' status.

Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to an agile team to develop high-quality solutions, expanding and supporting our existing application portfolio.
- Collaborate effectively with international product teams to support and enhance the entire product lifecycle by building and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines through automation.
- Act as a subject matter expert in developing and fulfilling non-functional software requirements and providing technical support to our engineering teams.
- Monitor application deployments and uptime to ensure product responsiveness.
- Propose secure, maintainable, and cost-efficient solutions for revising, updating, refactoring, and debugging new and existing codebases.
- Write clean, scalable code, adhering to design patterns and best practices.
- Document services, infrastructure, and operational procedures.
- Support the professional development of other team members.
Required Technical Skills/Knowledge
- 5 to 9 years of hands-on experience with the AWS cloud platform.
- Over 6 years of experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Strong working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IAC) and GitOps practices, with demonstrable experience in Terraform or AWS CDK.
- Demonstrable experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins.
- Experience in building monitoring and alerting dashboards using tools such as New Relic or Dynatrace.
- Experience managing and maintaining both Windows and Linux operating systems at scale.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, including IP addresses (ranges and masks), DNS routing, firewalls, load balancers, and WAFs.
- Understanding of Active Directory (preferably experience with Microsoft AD, ADFS).
- Experience developing applications and tools in .NET (C#) with a strong understanding of application testing (unit, integration, performance, vulnerability).
- Strong experience in Agile methodologies.
Useful Skills
- Familiarity with databases and database management (MSSQL).
- Understanding of AI tools and their application in delivering change.
