Devops Engineer

Experian seeks an enthusiastic DevOps Engineer to join our Credit & Verification Services team and drive our cloud modernization efforts.

This is a hybrid role based in Hyderabad, reporting to the Director of Engineering.

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Contributing to the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines.
• Developing reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) modules.
• Provisioning and managing resilient and scalable infrastructure on AWS.
• Implementing comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for system health and observability.
• Ensuring infrastructure adheres to standards for security, compliance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Contributing to the enhancement of internal DevOps capabilities.

Qualifications:

• A degree in Computer Science (B.Sc., MCA) or Engineering (Bachelor of Technology) or higher.
• 1+ year of experience in DevOps roles within software engineering.
• Experience building and supporting cloud-native solutions on AWS (preferred), Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience working in agile teams.
• A passion for continuous improvement and innovation in DevSecOps practices.
• An automation-first mindset, consistently seeking opportunities to automate manual tasks and improve efficiency.

Required Technical Skills & Knowledge:

• Proficiency in setting up CI/CD using tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, Harness, Gitlab, GitHub, AWS Code Build, AWS Code Deploy, or Azure Pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation, Terraform, and/or AWS CDK.
• Basic understanding and experience with networking concepts.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, or Python for automation and tooling.
• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes, with Amazon EKS being preferred.
• Understanding of cloud security principles and IAM policy design.
• Experience working in Agile environments, including sprint planning and retrospectives.

Desirable & Useful Skills:

• Experience with Gitlab, Github Actions.
• Familiarity with serverless architectures.
• Exposure to AI/ML tools and their integration into DevOps workflows.
• Knowledge of FinOps and cloud cost optimization strategies.
• AWS Certifications (e.g., Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) are highly advantageous.
• Understanding and experience with Generative AI (GenAI) in DevSecOps and software engineering contexts.
