DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a motivated DevOps Engineer to join our team at Deutsche Telekom Digital Labs in Gurugram, India. In this role, you will primarily work on a diverse set of digital products, including consumer-facing containerized web & mobile applications, content streaming platforms, distributed data stores, data engineering & analytics solutions, serverless functions, and API hosting.

Your responsibilities will include the technical implementation of requests from JIRA for various self-hosted and managed resources on AWS. You will apply DevOps best practices, focusing on security and cost optimization in an automated fashion. You will be instrumental in creating automation scripts within Gitlab, adhering to the Gitflow model for pull requests, and documenting all Cloud DevOps activities in Confluence.

We are looking for an individual contributor who is self-driven and familiar with Agile Scrum methodologies to actively participate in project activities. The ideal candidate will possess 2-6 years of relevant work experience in AWS & DevOps, with deep knowledge of Linux, Shell Scripting, core AWS services (VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, RDS), Amazon EKS/Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Git, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, Prometheus, and Grafana.

Basic exposure to AI coding assistants like GitHub Copilot or Cursor for foundational DevOps tasks, such as generating YAML configurations or Dockerfiles, is also expected, along with manual verification of deployments and pipeline runs. Strong operating system fundamentals, with an emphasis on performance optimization and system reliability, are crucial. Experience with distributed systems and databases (SQL, NoSQL, Cache), stream-processing (Kafka), message-queuing (RabbitMQ), and search & analytics platforms (ELK) would be a significant advantage.
