DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer in Gurgaon, India, to join Amdocs. This role focuses on designing, developing, modifying, debugging, and maintaining client software systems. You will engage with specific modules, applications, and technologies, handling sophisticated assignments throughout the software development lifecycle. Key responsibilities include contributing to and supporting the automation of infrastructure and deployment systems, aiming to enhance efficiency for engineering and operations teams. You will collaborate with Product/Account Development teams to automate Configuration Management, Build, Release, Deployment, and Monitoring processes, and guide the team on developed tools. The role involves working with IT and Development to ensure code integration and continuity, demonstrating a holistic view of working environments, and supporting teams in meeting infrastructure needs. You will provide professional support for automations, respond to incidents to prevent outages, and ensure environment availability to meet SLAs. Additionally, you will participate in the integration of Amdocs and non-Amdocs infrastructure systems, stay updated on industry best practices in DevOps, and contribute to innovation through automation to enable standard deployable infrastructure units across environments. Adoption and implementation of new technologies within the account/product lifecycle are also expected.

Required Skills:

• Experience with CI/CD and MS domains, including configuration management and/or automation tools, continuous-integration tools (e.g., Jenkins, BitBucket, Nexus), and continuous deployment on cloud platforms (OpenShift, AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with third-party tools such as Postgres, Cassandra, Helm, Groovy, Nagios, Liquidbase, and Couchbase.
• 1-2 years of experience with infrastructure-as-code and configuration-as-code using tools like CloudFormation, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, SaltStack, Terragrunt, and Terraform.
• 2-3 years of script development experience and IT experience in common languages like Python, Groovy, or Bash.
• Hands-on experience in build, release, deployment, and monitoring of cloud-based scalable distributed systems.
• Proficiency in RedHat or other Linux distributions and familiarity with Service Oriented systems.
• Experience working in an agile development environment.
• 1-2 years of hands-on experience troubleshooting key lifecycle management tools (e.g., BitBucket, Jenkins, Nexus, Artifactory, OCP, Sonar, AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Working experience in creating Cluster/Hybrid production-like environments, including knowledge of TLS, Load Balancing, and High Availability setup implementation.
