DevOps Engineer

Uplers is seeking a DevOps Engineer with 2+ years of experience for a full-time, permanent remote position. The role involves monitoring and maintaining the infrastructure for Syncio, a company focused on collaborative commerce at a global scale. You will work closely with Syncio's founder, CTO, and product engineering team to ensure systems are fast, reliable, and secure. This is a hands-on operations role with significant ownership, responsible for production systems supporting millions of synced orders and high-volume webhooks across multiple time zones. Your responsibilities will include owning end-to-end production reliability, ensuring high availability, performance, and resilience, managing incident response, and reducing operational risk. You will also design, operate, and improve AWS infrastructure, including autoscaling, queues, serverless workloads, and managed services, while enhancing deployment pipelines and rollback strategies. The role emphasizes treating infrastructure as a product and improving observability and operations. You will foster cross-team collaboration in a remote-first environment, communicate effectively, lead by example in raising product engineering standards, and operate autonomously in a fast-paced setting. Key requirements include a passion for product and customers, strong DevOps expertise in AWS, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, queues, caching, databases, and serverless patterns. You should be a self-starter ('GSD expert') who thrives in uncertainty and excels in communication and collaboration.
